Therese Basinger                                       

Therese Baisinger is a glass artist who, after eighteen years of stained glass work and Tiffany lamp building, has turned her focus to decorative functional dishware.  These one-of-a-kind pieces are handmade with a variety of techniques using colored sheet and powdered glass melted together to create design and color.  After repeated firings to enhance design and texture, the glass is finally suspended over a mound and refired to shape. 

Her intention is to create glass work interesting enough to display while still being functional and affordable.  Always being drawn by color and light, Therese creates her glass in an outdoor garden studio in the Bonny Doon mountains in California, where she lives and works.
