Sasa Blackoff
Making jewelry that evokes a strong sense of style is what drives Sasa, a sunny Californian with great tenacity and a true commitment to her craft.
Sasa’s bold use of colored stones and her clean-lined designs make the work stand out. Sasa prefers hand-fabricating her jewelry, and she avoids casting altogether. She thinks about her collectors constantly whilst making the jewelry, considering how a piece will feel to the wearer.
As a student of Reichian therapy, Sasa finds a clear path from her emotional center to her jewelry-making. She makes statements of energy, thought, and love in pieces that many of Sasa’s collectors consider to be architectural, specifically Art Deco in style. Sasa explains “I like to pick up on the energy that speaks to me from my material and emphasize it; then I take it a step further and it takes on meaning.” – the result is the work of an artist with a passion for nature and a playful sense of humor who is always seeking the next adventure with her craft.
