Artist's Statement

1979-1990
A sculptor at heart, Kurt Runstadler began producing sculptural forms in glass and mixed media. These works were shown and exhibited in numerous galleries and exhibitions across the nation. In 1987, he took a year to travel and study art and architecture in Greece, Turkey, Egypt and East Africa. Returning home again, he again working with more purely sculptural forms outside of the context of glass. Commissions for large works were awarded by such organizations as Coca-Cola Corporation, Sheraton Hotel Group, and Saks Fifth Avenue.

1991-Present
Kurt continues to produce one of a kind works in steel, bronze, glass and stone, completing commissions for clients such as University of California-Davis Medical Center, Butterworth Hospital Foundation, and Hewlett-Packard Corporation.
