Tracy West "I often feel that I am negotiating compatibility with the materials, frequently pushing the limits of what they ordinarily are expected to do. Sometimes I win, sometimes they win. It is a metaphor for life dealing with integrity, characgter, will and resillience. There is also a strong spiritual component in the intentionn of my art that comes through in the poetic simplicity of the design of each piece. I have been greatly influenced by the contemplative minimalist aesthetic of the art and craft of Japan." Lorraine Lawson "Texture, color, energy and pure emotions are the inspiration for defining the style in my work. I search for meaning beyond what I see. My abstract works are studies of seasonal, emotional and atmospheric change."

Artist Reception
Champagne & Refreshments |
Sept 26. 27 11am to 5pm
Live Zen Tambouri drum demonstration Noon to 4pm |
Steve Finch As an artist, I had to build on the "Tank Drum" idea. I felt that the drum should look as unique as it sounds. I take full size propane tanks and cut them down to a smaller size. I feel that the size of the drum should fit the scale that the drum is tuned to, and that you can pick not only the scale and sound depth, but also how the drum looks. Each drum is one-of-a-kind with over 10 finish designs. Roy Smith "In 1998, after many years as an active amateur photoographer, I purchased a professional Nikon camera and soon discovered High Dynamic Ranage (HDR) photography." Having focused on sunsets for many years, HDR and wide angle lenses created a new format where Roy could use his artistic skills to create relaxing surreal Zen like sunsets, lanscapes and architecture.
