Eli Mazet
Mazet Studios is located in the heart of the great Northwest, an emerging international center for glass art. The area is known for its liberal lifestyle and devotion to the arts. Mazet Studios, a family run business, is the dream of Eli Mazet.
Eli comes from a creative family of artists, inventors and entrepreneurs. When his older brother Josh, a University of Oregon graduate with a BFA in Ceramics, took a job at Jerome Baker Design in 1999, Eli had not yet found an outlet for his own ideas. After gaining experience in the glass field Josh began to teach his two younger brothers how to blow glass. Eli quickly caught on and found he had a passion for lamp work sculpture. Eli engaged his brothers, Josh and Tim and mom Tym, to start the family studio and there were soon selling their unique glass sculptures.
Eli began his line of glass sculptures with sea horses, and quickly expanded to include a variety of sea creatures. The whimsical style of Eli’s frogs has captured the hearts of many.
